Presentation of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2025

The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA) is awarded once a year by the Swedish Cultural Council and presented personally by the Swedish Crown Princess in Stockholm. It is one of the most prestigious international awards for children's literature. Previous winners include Christine Nöstlinger, Maurice Sendak, Shaun Tan, Guus Kuijer, Isol, Meg Rosoff, Wolf Erlbruch, Bart Moeyaert and Jean-Claude Mourlevat. 

As part of the award's week-long celebrations and events, the winner will be a guest at the International Youth Library and will be honoured at an event.
