Otfried Preußler. Life and Work

Jella-Lepman-Saal

An evening to mark the 100th birthday

With The Robber Hotzenplotz, The Little Witch or Krabat, Otfried Preußler has created classics of children's literature. Many of his stories are rooted in the Bohemian fairy tales and legends he knew from his childhood. After World War II, which he spent as a soldier in the Soviet Union and later as a prisoner of war, he came to Upper Bavaria, where he lived until his death in 2013.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth, we are dedicating an evening to the life and work of this great children's author. Otfried Preußler biographer Tilman Spreckelsen will moderate the evening, and actor Thomas Birnstiel will read well-known and unknown texts.

Admission is free.
